During the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, most of the world shut down in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Businesses were closed, events were canceled, and friends and family were asked to gather in groups of 10 or less.
My wife and I decided to create a “circle of trust” with her parents, her two brothers, and her brother’s family (a total of 11 people, including 4 kids). Every weekend we would get together for dinner and games – playing different board and card games. After a few weeks, this grew old and we needed more excitement. Then we created our own game. An indoor golf game that allowed us to use some of our pent-up energy while having fun competing for the lowest score. Just like regular golf, we would play 9 or 18 holes – depending on when we started and if it was past the kid’s bedtime. This continued for several weeks until finally, we decided to share the excitement with others. And Quarantine Indoor Golf was born.
